EDUCATIONAL PHILOSOPHY
Everyone is important and learns differently. Students learn best if we discover their learning style and skills. It is my goal to help each student do their very best. I enjoy working individually and in small groups because I feel I am better able to help each student when they are not distracted by those around them.
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND
My elementary years were spent moving between the USA and Nicaragua. While growing in this environment, I learned Spanish and realized the world was a very diverse place. In community college, I studied data processing and at Vanguard I earned a Business Degree. Later, I earned a multiple subject teaching credential.
TEACHING EXPERIENCE
I have substituted every grade from preschool to adult education. I also taught Spanish, American Government and Economics.
EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
I also have taught boys groups at my church. I also enjoy reading about many things, especially events in history from every part of the world. I hope that I can learn to appreciate the great variety of cultures in the world. I wish I had more opportunity to travel.
