Teachers/ tutors show students how to be productive citizens that are knowledgeable about the world around them and how to act in different situations presented to them. Not every child learns the same way, so teachers must modify their way of teaching in order to properly accommodate everyone. I am dedicated to teaching and tutoring English Language Arts and Reading. I will do my best to ensure that every individual I help will be a successful student.
I graduated in the top 10 percent of my high school in 2008. I received my Bachelor’s degree in Literature with a certification in teaching English Language Arts and Reading for grades 4-8 from the University of Houston – Clear Lake in 2013. I was a member of the honor society in my high school as well as Phi Theta Kappa at UHCL. I have taken numerous professional development classes for teaching as well.
I completed my internship at a public school for 6th grade AP language arts in the 2012-2013 school year. I taught as a 5th grade teacher (all subjects) at a private school during the 2013-2014 school year. I also have experience teaching science and social studies and tutoring students K through tenth grade.
I was a national honor society member at both the high school and college levels. I participated in numerous volunteer programs and tutored peers throughout my academic career.
