I believe that all students are capable of learning, regardless of ability. I think it is the job of a teacher to help students find the learning style that works best for them. Students are capable of feeling passionate about their academics and should be encouraged to pursue those subjects and contents that they enjoy most.
I have a Bachelor’s Degree in English Language & Literature from the University of Maryland. A few years ago I became more passionate about education and decided to go back to school. While working full-time, I completed a graduate program at Marymount University, finishing with my Master’s Degree in Secondary Education and received my teaching certification for the state of Virginia.
I have experience student teaching in New Zealand and Washington, D.C. Since I graduated I have worked primarily tutoring, both individual students and in small groups.
I moved to Phoenix to spend time with my family so I spend lots of free time doing that. I also have dogs so I enjoy spending time with them. I like yoga, hiking and spending as much time outside as possible. When I’m inside, chances are I’m reading or watching football.
