A good education can open up great doors of possibility in one’s life but it is more than a checkmark on the to do list of life. Education is an experience that I hope to enrich. Learning can be fun and it is something that all people can come to love and desire.

I was homeschooled for elementary school which gave me my educational philosophy. I have an Honours Bachelor of Arts Degree in English Literature from Trent University in Peterborough Ontario. I always saw my University experience as just that, an experience. I loved learning and lived in the moment of the experience rather than seeing it as a dreadful time to push through. I hope to share this passion with others.

I have worked with children in camps, afterschool programs, Sunday school, and babysitting. One after school program I did was a comic book club designed to promote literacy and inspire kids to read and write. There I gave artistic help as well as teaching children how to spell.

I volunteer at a local youth centre. I am an avid hiker, writer, and reader. I am a very creative and artistic person. I have a lot of experience in the theatre arts. I also love the great outdoors and spend a lot of time hiking in a near by park.
