My teaching philosophy begins with a belief that providing support and inspiration allows students to work effectively towards their goals. I strive to build and encourage critical thinking skills so students can passionately articulate their points of view. I foster creativity, individuality, and critical thinking in order to prepare our youth to confidently navigate the demands of adulthood.

I hold a Bachelors of Education degree, a Bachelors of Arts degree, a British Columbia Teaching Certificate as well as a Theatre Arts Diploma. I graduated on the deans list with a GPA of 3.6

I taught English, humanities and drama during my 4-month practicum. I have volunteered as a teaching assistant and I have also done some volunteer tutoring work.

I have experience running my own family daycare and am a mother. Further, I have experience implementing theatre workshops, arts and craft day camps and have experience as an assistant Scouts Canada Leader.
