Every child can learn, and they deserve to learn in an environment that is conductive to their individual learning needs. It is important that a student not only learn the material, but understand it and be able to apply it in way that proves, grows, and strengthens that understanding. An educator should be patient, understanding, determined, and committed to the success of his or her student(s).
I graduated high school in 2009 with an Academic Honors diploma. I then attended college at Indiana State University. I graduated college in 2013 with a degree in English Teaching with a minor in Creative Writing. My cumulative GPA was a 3.98. I am now a certified teacher in Indiana.
I began my student teaching in 2013. I spent 8 weeks in an 8th grade Language Arts classroom, and 8 weeks teaching 11th and 12th grade English. I then got hired at the school that I completed my student teaching. I have been teaching 9th grade English and Developmental Reading there for two years.
I currently sponsor the high school National Honor Society at the high school I teach. I also coach the high school spell bowl team.
