Students should be nurtured in a caring and open-minded environment, in which they feel comfortable to express themselves without judgment, so as to foster collaboratively learning. I believe that students should have a say in what and how they learn. However, it is up to the teacher to help mold each student into a pro-active learner.

I received my Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of North Florida in English/ Drama with a minor in film studies. I then went on to receive my Master of Arts in English Literature from the same university.

I have been teaching in the public school system since 2011. I have taught 7th and 8th grade language arts, as well as 10th grade english. I am currently working as an adjunct professor for Columbia College teaching Composition I.

I am a writer, as well as an avid reader.
