Shakespeare said “Some are born great, some achieve greatness and some have greatness thrust upon them.” My life goal is to obtain a teaching position where my education in English language and literature can be utilized to assist students and help them grow as writers, readers, and critical thinkers.
In my education, I was privileged enough to be taught by the brilliant minds of my university professors. As a graduate in English at University of California, Santa Barbara, I believe that I am well prepared to help other students with their passion as well. I love people: their experiences and culture, which is why I decided to minor in cultural anthropology.
I have experience tutoring students in a one-on-one setting.
In my spare time, I enjoy a good novel with a cup of coffee. I enjoy being active: kayaking, swimming and going on walks. In college, I began editing magazines and developed an interest in writing and editing. I also obtained an internship, editing 17th century ballads.
