My philosophy of education is that every child should have the right to learn and get a quality education. Every child that enters into the classroom should feel safe and comfortable. It would be an environment full of nurturing and enriching.
My educational background has been solely through public schools, yet I have thrived. Growing up in a low-income neighborhoods I had to educate myself a lot outside of the classroom. Through tutors and asking for help I strove to make it into college and graduate. I want to help other students have that opportunity. I received my Bachelor’s Degree from California State University in Business Administration.
I have 4 years of experience tutoring in after school programs; being a tutor, a program manager and eventually an academic coordinator. I have a years experience in the classroom being a Mathematics and English Substitute teacher. Also I have experience being a Math instructor for the Holy Names University Upward Bound Program.
My extracurricular activities include riding my bike around Lake Merritt, reading and as well as cooking. I enjoy traveling and taking trips with my friends, as well as exploring the Bay Area.
