As an educator it is important to find out how a student learns. One must create an atmosphere in which the student feels comfortable. Having said that, students should be accountable and work to the best of their potential.
I strongly believe in education. I finished my BA from UBC in 3.5 years. Then I travelled and volunteered in Cambodia for 18 months. I returned to Canada, and then I took Capilano University’s Asia Pacific Management Cooperative Program. This lead to other overseas work. I got an internship that lead to working in Central Asia for 3.5 years and a move to Italy with another agency. In Italy I met my husband and had our children: during which time I also completed my Masters of Education. Recently I also completed UFV’s Applied Business Technology program.
I have over 10 years experience teaching ESL. I have taught in Canada, Italy, Cambodia, and Thailand.
I enjoy going to the gym daily, hiking, reading, travelling and volunteering. I volunteer as a crossing guard at the school my son goes to. I have also volunteered with my local Community Services and recently applied to volunteer with charities.
