I believe students’ needs come first; it is the teacher’s responsibility to make sure the student understands the course content by making sure each individual step is explained thoroughly. I believe the key to education is also developing an excellent rapport with students. The student-teacher relationship is very important and is the key to student success.

I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics from the University of Western Ontario. I then received my Bachelor’s Degree in Education from the same institution for Intermediate-Senior Mathematics and History. I am a certified teacher in Ontario.

I have been a high school teacher for the last 10 years teaching Mathematics at all different levels. I have taught academic, applied, and workplace level math courses for the last 10 years at the high school level.

I am on the safe schools committee at my work. I have also coached school reach at my high school. Other extracurricular activities include being on the festive season committee, the literacy committee and being a teacher advisor for the multi-cultural club.
