I believe every child can learn but not all children learn the same way. It is the teacher’s (or tutor’s) responsibility to discover what learning and teaching style works best for each student and cater their teaching method to meet the student’s needs. This makes the student feel more successful and gives the student the confidence to master more difficult material. I also believe it is the teacher’s responsibility to keep the student actively engaged in the lesson by creating developmentally-appropriate lessons.
I hold a BSED in Early Childhood Education and Development. I stay abreast of changes in education through continuing education courses/workshops. I have teaching licenses in the states of Mississippi and Tennessee.
I have 6 years teaching experience and over 2 years tutoring experience.
In my free time, I enjoy running, Pilates, reading, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
