I believe that each child can succeed in the classroom and in life. It is important to discover their inner talents and expand on their abilities while gaining new traits on the journey. Each student learns differently and the teacher must adapt to the varying learning styles. Each student has a story and it is my job to discover their voice.
I attended Millersville University where I received my Bachelor’s Degree in English Education. Since that time, I have been awarded the title of Freedom Writer teacher which only 400 teachers hold throughout the world.
I worked for thirteen years in three different school districts. From inner city, low income, to a private school – my experience is vast.
When I was a teacher, I was also the moderator of several clubs including Student Council, Aevidum, Mock Trial, Kairos, and the Notre Dame Club.Being a moderator meant I was to guide the students in making decisions that would impact the school in a positive way.
