I am an experienced, dedicated and enthusiastic teacher who is committed to promoting the education and well being of children and young adults. I also possess an open mind and a positive attitude to motivate and inspire others to succeed.
Being a student in different stages of my life and being a mentor/professor/tutor for middle school kids, for finance professionals and for telecom engineers, I believe that taking a concept and making it work using an everyday example is the best learning method I have experienced.
I believe every student learns differently. As a teacher, it’s my job to find out what clicks for a student and then bring out that strength. I want students to leave my class or math session as excited about math as I am.

The city of St. Petersburg is located in the state of Florida on the gulf coast as part of the Tampa Bay area. The city covers an area of 61.75 square miles and has a population of 257 083 according to a 2015 census, making it the 5th most populated city in Florida. St. Petersburg was founded in 1888 by John C. Williams and Peter Demens, who named the city after St. Petersburg, Russia. The city has an average of 361 sunny days per year and it holds the Guinness World Record for having the most consecutive days of sunshine at 768 days. It is for this reason that St. Petersburg is nicknamed “The Sunshine City”. Locals also refer to the city by its nickname of “St. Pete”. The city is popular as a retirement location but in recent years younger people have also started to move into St. Petersburg.

As the location of The Dali Museum, a Dale Chihuly glass collection, and six art districts, St. Petersburg is a destination for those who love art. The downtown core of the city has also participated in a series of revitalization projects including constructing new retail shops, restaurants, and movie theaters. There are historic neighborhoods in the city that continue to be restored. Annually, there are more than 900 events that take place in St. Petersburg, bringing in over 10 million people a year to the city.

The population of St. Petersburg contains 14.8% of the population between 0-14 years old, 17.6% of being 65+, and the rest being between between 15-64 years of age. In 2016, the median household income for families in the city was estimated to be around $48183.

The Dali Museum

The Dali Museum houses the largest collection of works by Salvador Dali outside of Europe and is located in downtown St. Petersburg. Dali was a surrealist painter, most famous for his works that seem to depict normal scenes, but twisted in strange ways very different from reality. The museum houses over 2100 works from the artist including oil paintings, original drawings, book illustrations, and more. There is also a garden in the museum that was inspired by Dali’s work and his fascination with nature. The garden features local flora and a labyrinth. Originally opened in 1983, the museum then opened a new building in 2011. This new building was designed to be simple, but also practical. It is shaped like a rectangle, and the walls were made 18 inches thick. On the side of the building, there is a glass bubble called “The Enigma”, made up of 1062 pieces of triangular glass. This bubble was inspired by the glass dome building of the Dali museum in Spain.

Sunken Gardens

The Sunken Gardens are located in the Historic Old Northeast Neighborhood of St. Petersburg, Florida. The gardens are one of the oldest roadside tourist attractions in the United States and are over 100 year old. Some of the oldest tropical plants in the region are found in the Sunken Gardens, and more than 500 species of tropical plants and flowers have their home there. A stroll through the garden allows visitors to witness waterfalls and large demonstration gardens. The Sunken Garden also offers tours, field trips, and the opportunity to rent the garden for private events. In 2016, the community was also able to raise funds to purchase 20 flamingos for the garden.

John’s Pass Village

The waterway on which John’s Pass lies was first created in 1848. Pirate John Levique was the first to make his way through the newly created passage, which is why it was named after him. Today, John’s Pass Village is a quaint fishing village where over 100 merchants are located. From different restaurants, dolphin watching, parasailing and jet skiing – there’s a lot John’s Pass Village has to offer. Into something a little bit more adventurous? Chalk Talk: Should You Write a Resume?

Not every college requires a resume, and some don’t even recommend them, but almost every college will accept one, so it’s probably a good idea to write one, especially when you consider what a resume does for you. A resume provides an easy-to-read, one-page document that highlights not only an applicant’s extracurricular involvement, but also various positive qualities associated with these activities. Many of these qualities might not be addressed elsewhere, and they are all good and worth addressing. For example, involvement in a sport shows dedication and teamwork, and if the student was involved for more than one season, or became a team captain, or won an award, that shows even more positive qualities. Similarly, being involved with a club shows many essential qualities. Of course, highlighting stronger qualities makes a stronger resume, and highlighting activities that demonstrate multiple positive qualities will accomplish this.
