Educating Our Parents: Understanding the Cape Coral District Curriculum

The elementary Science curriculum covers environments, habitats, seasons, plants, animals, space, life cycles, earth, matter, weather, energy, the scientific method, and more. Once students are in middle school, they will learn about nutrition, safety, substance abuse, exercise, disease, mental health, emotional changes, and more. Sunsplash family waterpark is the largest water park in Southwest Florida! The park takes up an area of 14 acres, and there are a variety of attractions including a lazy river and multiple water slides for visitors to enjoy. The park is operated by the City of Cape Coral Parks & Recreation Department who also offer aquatics classes. The Cape Coral Yacht Club was built in 1958 directly on the Caloosahatchee River and remains as a landmark in the city.
