Nampa District and Curriculum
The middle schools reinforce and refine the basics learned in elementary school and are then expanded to prepare students for the demands of high school and beyond. Nampa School Districts’ middle schools take a unique teamed approach to ensuring student success during this important transitional time. Each student belongs to a grade-level team as well as a smaller advisory level group to maximize one-on-one interactions with teachers. These advisory groups not only address challenges with academics, but cover topics such as planning for high school, effective time management techniques, and dealing constructively with stress.

Educating Our Parents: Understanding the Nampa District Curriculum
Core classes are the focus of the first two years of high school, with the junior and senior years devoted to completing requirements for graduation and taking electives in areas that coincide with their interests, abilities, and possible future career plans. The Grade 13 program offers academics blended with professional technical instruction so students have the opportunity to graduate high school with college credits and certificates in automotive technology, allied health, engineering, and information technology already in hand.

Keeping Informed: Recent Nampa Educational News
- Columbia High School Clothing Drive - The Student Mentor Program at CHS sponsors a year-round clothing, shoe, and coat drive to benefit needy students and their families. This program is helping everyone involved, from the community members served, to the mentees and their mentors.
- Young Citizens Awards - Several West Middle School students received Young Citizens Awards from the Nampa Exchange Club for outstanding citizenship, sportsmanship, academics, and leadership. A tribute to the whole community!
- Nampa High Students Excel in Debate - Numerous members of the Nampa High School Speech and Debate Team garnered honors at the Rocky Mountain Invitational Speech Tournament. This extracurricular has a rich tradition of supporting students academic and future career goals.
