Chalk Talk: Helping Your Kids with Homework

One very important way to get involved with your child's education is to assist with homework. It is a great way to keep an eye on how your child is doing and whether they are going to need assistance such as a tutor to understand the material. If you are not sure your child is coming home with all the required homework be sure to talk to their teachers to ensure that your child knows what is expected of them. Set aside blocks of time dedicated to doing homework and make it as distraction free as possible. Don't do the homework for them but provide them with tools they need to be able to successfully complete their assignments.
