Chalk Talk: Memorizing

No matter how you name it a certain amount of memorizing is necessary to succeed in school. Here are some good tips for memorizing. Repetition of the thing to be remembered is the most common and successful way to memorize. Simply writing or saying the thing to be learned over and over works well. Use little pockets of time to memorize. Trying to do it all at once is harder than spreading it out. For instance, if you have a math table to learn, say it over and over throughout the day. A little here and there works well. You can also do it with a buddy. You say it and they correct you. Then switch places. If you spread it out over the time allowed, it is much easier and more effective than trying to do it all at once at the last minute. Happy memorizing!
