Chalk Talk: Keeping Track of Homework

A simple and easy way to keep track of homework assignments is to use an agenda book. Agendas that are designed around the school year are available; these agendas begin and end around the dates when school is in session rather than showing January as the first month. In class, when a teacher gives an assignment make a note on the date that it is due. If it is a large project, you may want to break it into a few steps and then log these steps into your agenda on the goal date by which you would like to have them completed. If you have a school calendar or if your teacher provides a syllabus, you can write down important dates in your agenda. Field trips, school holidays, midterm and final exam dates, and club and sporting event dates are all worthy of notation in your agenda.
