The Burlington Township School District is the primary public school district serving K-12 students in Burlington Township, New Jersey. The district has nearly 4,000 students who attend one of four schools under the district’s supervision. High school students seeking an education with a vocational or technical focus are also eligible to attend the Burlington County Institute of Technology, which serves students throughout Burlington County. Together, these districts provide comprehensive educational opportunities that prepare students to be educated, informed and well-trained members of society and the workforce.

Students in Burlington Township receive a comprehensive, standards-based education rooted in the criteria set forth in the Common Core State Standards and the New Jersey Core Curriculum Content Standards. Together, these documents outline the knowledge and skills students should acquire at each grade level.
The math curriculum in both the Burlington Township Public Schools and the Burlington County Institute of Technology is developed according to the rigorous standards set forth by the Common Core State Standards. Students must meet grade-level proficiencies on various mathematics benchmarks. A key component of the math curriculum is an understanding of operations and algebraic thinking. In elementary school, students focus on solving problems involving addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. In middle school, the focus turns to ratios and proportional relationships, algebraic expressions and examining relationships between dependent and independent variables.

- Advertising and Art Program Offered - Students at the Burlington County Institute of Technology can now enroll in the Advertising, Art and Computer Graphics program. The program prepares students for entry-level work in a number of fields, including design, advertising, fashion and photography.
- Family Association Helps High School - Parents of students at Burlington Township High School have joined forces with teachers, administrators and community members to create the Burlington Township High School Family Association. The purpose of the group is to volunteer time and supplies to enhance the learning experience at BTHS.
- Honors and AP Courses Offered - Students at Burlington Township High School have a number of honors, college prep and AP courses available to take in the social studies department. US History I and II, World History, Government and Psychology are among the many advanced courses available.

In fact, some students have enough college credits upon graduation from high school that they can graduate from college a semester or a year early. Lastly, by getting some general education requirements out of the way in high school, your child can take more elective courses in college or even add a minor or second major more easily.
