Chalk Talk: Tucson Symphony Orchestra
The Tucson Symphony Orchestra has created a website called TSO Kids where children can learn about the world of music all through the eyes of animated Morris Mouse. On the site kids can choose from concerts, mind movies, ensembles, behind the scenes, and fun and learning. Under concerts and ensembles kids will find information on past and upcoming concerts and what kinds of instruments are used in the presentations. In Mind Movies there is information on how important background music is to the world of movies and kids are invited to listen to compositions by local composers and make up their own movie in their imaginations to go with the music. Behind the scenes takes kids back stage with Morris Mouse and lets them see what goes on back stage during a concert. The most fun part of the site is the games section where kids can understand musical lines and compose their own music.
