About Me
EDUCATIONAL PHILOSOPHY
I am passionate about teaching children and creating relationships with them that help build a sense of confidence and enable them to grow as learners.
I generated engaging lessons to include scientific literature, writing tasks, and hands-on learning. I formed cooperative learning groups, organized individualized projects, created learning centers and implemented learning style research in every lesson.
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND
I completed B.S. Biology-Pre-Med from Virginia State University and then went on to complete the credits required for an M.S. Forensic Science program at Pace University. After this, I completed M.S. Adolescence Education-Biology program at Fordham University.
TEACHING EXPERIENCE
After completing my M.S. from Fordham University, I then completed 32 weeks of student teaching grades 7-12 in science content. Since then, I have had experience both teaching and tutoring.
EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
I am currently an Girl Scouts of America Girl Scout Leader-Cadette Troop 2808 for girls in (Grade 6-8).
