EDUCATIONAL PHILOSOPHY
My educational philosophy is that education is the key to future success. Additionally, educators are necessary for the children of today and tomorrow to learn how to create a world built on happiness, health and equality. I think education is a two-way street. I want to help people learn and in return learn from them. I am proud to be beginning my career in education because I am eager to help the next generation.
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND
I love to learn and help other people learn. I graduated from high school at South Peace Secondary School. From there, I attended the University of Alberta, where I graduated with my Bachelor’s Degree from the Augustana Campus. I am currently pursuing my degree in education through the Faculty of Education at the University of Alberta.
TEACHING EXPERIENCE
In the past, I tutored basic computer skills to elderly people who sought to increase their knowledge and understanding of computers. I also served as a volunteer French teacher. I have taught leadership skills through physical education courses at schools in my University’s community as well. I am currently a substitute teacher in my hometown.
EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
I volunteer at a local retirement home and at the local SPCA. I love reading and writing, singing, dancing, and acting. I also design and sew my own clothes, as well as play sports.
