Academic learning and real-life skills should go hand in hand to maximize student learning. As a teacher, I hope to instill curiosity in my students and guide them in their academic interests.

I am a trained tutor and teacher’s assistant at The Literacy Center of the Lehigh Valley where I took several courses in tutor training and adult learning.

In addition, I have been a teacher’s assistant in a Beginner’s ESL classroom at The Literacy Center of the Lehigh Valley for almost two years. Previously, I tutored an ESL student at Northwestern Lehigh Middle School who was from Puerto Rico.

I spent one year as a teacher in Cartoons, Conversation, and Culture at the university, where I taught elementary students about different cultures through reading and drawing. Besides that, I was an exchange student in Ecuador with Kutztown, where I spent time in classrooms learning about education in Ecuador.
