EDUCATIONAL PHILOSOPHY
While all students learn differently, every student should learn math. Knowing and understanding math affords students more opportunities in their schooling, careers, and personal life. Students should be taught using whatever means they find most valuable. They should also have meaningful applications for math that they can relate to.
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND
I earned my undergraduate degree from Rivier University in Mathematics Education. This included a 14 week student teaching program. I am currently working on finishing my M.Ed. in curriculum and instruction from Southern New Hampshire University.
TEACHING EXPERIENCE
I have taught at a high school in New Hampshire for the past 3 years. I taught Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Geometry, Trigonometry, and Statistics. I have taught remedial classes, honors classes, and many in between. I also did some private tutoring during my first year.
EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
I coached soccer for the past two years at the high school I worked at. I also coached soccer, both high school and recreational, before I started teaching. I also coached track and field for 5 seasons at the school. I was a math team adviser for this last year.
