EDUCATIONAL PHILOSOPHY
I believe that every student deserves a good quality education. This includes providing environments which provides individual attention to students to strengthen their own weaknesses. I believe that teachers/ tutors are responsible for providing individualized attention to students to improve their learning experiences.
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND
I graduated with honors from high school and was recognized for maintaining a cumulative 4.0 G.P.A, for serving over 400 community service hours and for maintaining perfect attendance during my high school career. I recently graduated from University of California, Merced with a B.A. in both Anthropology and Sociology. I was placed in the Dean’s and Chancellor’s list multiple times for my exemplary academic achievements.
TEACHING EXPERIENCE
I started tutoring in math while still in middle school and still continue to do this now. I have experience helping students with all levels of math and English – including special needs students.
EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
I became a member of the UC Merced Police Mentor Program from 2011-2013. This was where I tutored 3-5th grade students. During the 2012-2013 school year I became the secretary for the Anthropological Society and the Public Relations representative for the Sociology Club. This past year, 2013-2014, I became the treasurer for the Anthropological Society and the Vice-President for the Sociology Club. I also managed to volunteer for Ninevah, a program that provides food and clothing to low income families.
