Chalk Talk: Preparing for the ACT's and SAT's
Students differ in more ways than appearance and personality. They also differ in the way they prepare for the ACT and SAT. Some teens study best in self-paced environments. There are books that are published by ACT and SAT developers. There are also online programs that these students can turn to in order to study. This method is inexpensive but the students have to be aware of their weaknesses, like time management or motivation. Another method is to take part in group classes. These are for those that require more structure. The class meets at the same time in the same place. A private tutor is a third option for test prep. This is expensive but it gives students individual attention and can be beneficial for some students, especially if the tutor has a successful record, they also provide accountability to the parents.
