EDUCATIONAL PHILOSOPHY
Every student can learn and be successful academically; however, discovering how a student learns is key. Progress is a must to keep students motivated, so we take baby steps to avoid feeling overwhelmed.
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND
I first earned a nursing degree all the way back in 1984 from St. Louis College Community College. Several years later, I went back to school to earn a degree in psychology from Webster University. About 10 years after that, I went back to earn a Master’s in Legal Studies, followed more recently by a Ph.D. in Health Psychology.
TEACHING EXPERIENCE
I am an adjunct professor at 4 year university, and a staff educator as a Patient Safety Specialist. I am also an aqua fitness instructor and consult as a parent educator.
EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
I am an Aqua fitness instructor as well as a group fitness. I serve on the Logos Advisory Board as a consultant for students with mental illness. My husband and I have been medical foster/adoptive parents for children with special needs.
