EDUCATIONAL PHILOSOPHY
I’ll begin with a quote by Albert Einstein: “Everyone is a genius. But if you judge a fish by it’s ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing it is stupid.” There are many ways people learn. If a person is not approached in the way they learn, they may feel as stupid as a fish attempting to climb a tree.
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND
I attended college in Pennsylvania at Cedar Crest University. I received my education from highly dedicated professors who were experienced teachers in public and private schools. I acquired the most effective teaching techniques and strategies as well as the skills of being a reflective teacher, leader, and role model.
TEACHING EXPERIENCE
I taught ESL to 21 Chinese exchange students. I have experience working with children in 6th, 7th and 8th grade. I am currently working with students in secondary education.
EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
I am a class sponsor for the sophomores. We do fundraising and coordinate the homecoming event. I have worked with troubled youth, helping them to problem solve. I also enjoy spending time with my dog, Jake, who I have taken to visit the veterinary academy at my school on several occasions. Jake loves going and being around the students.
