EDUCATIONAL PHILOSOPHY
Relationship building with a priority for student success is paramount. Content knowledge and the ability to differentiate instruction based on student needs is essential. My goal is to help students achieve their maximum potential including real world applications. I focus on students’ individual needs including assessment performance, organizational skills, and academic preparation.
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND
I have earned a Bachelor’s Degree in psychology, Master’s degree in Education and as well as an Education Specialist (Ed.S.) in Education. I have certifications in Science Education, School Counseling, Teacher Support Specialist. I have served as a Mentor Teacher for new teachers.
I have also mentored several teachers needing assistance in areas of curriculum implementation, differentiated instruction, and classroom management.
I currently serve as an Anti-Bullying program coordinator. I have chaired my school’s Mission Plan and Strategic Plan initiatives as well as being a member of my school district’s strategic planning committee.
TEACHING EXPERIENCE
I have been teaching since 2005 in a title one school. I am experienced in curriculum and instruction and curriculum design. I also have over 7 years of tutoring experience.
EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
I am a Teacher Support Specialist, Anti-Bully program specialist and coordinator, committee chair for school’s mission and strategic plans and committee member for district’s strategic plan.
