EDUCATIONAL PHILOSOPHY
I like to create a distinctive learning environment for my students, technicians and colleagues. The education process in science should be enjoyable and pleasant, although it needs hard work and perseverance. These are the attributes that I would bring to your students, so that I could help them grow and succeed.
Spanish teaching is very rewarding for me, as I am a native speaker. After many years of English study, plus taking my Masters program at the University of Manitoba, Winnipeg, where I have been living since 2003, makes me a good tutor/instructor for teaching Spanish to English speakers, or a ESL instructor.
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND
I received my Masters Degree in Medical Microbiology from the University of Manitoba, and I hold a Bachelors Degree in Biochemistry degree from the University of Buenos Aires, Argentina.
My Masters program provided a great deal of experience in presenting to groups as well as to individuals (Professors, other students).
TEACHING EXPERIENCE
My lifelong career in the area of Microbiology (diagnosis and research) involved teaching. In the diagnostic field, I trained technicians, technologists and students in Microbiology techniques and biosafety in the lab setting. Graduate students training, is part of my current job as Lab Supervisor.
EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
I love doing research and reading journal papers. As for personal leisure, I try to swim regularly; my family and beautiful dog take all of my attention, when I am not working. Finally, traveling, cooking and gardening, are the activities that I enjoy the most.
