A waterfall starts with a drop of water and education begins with birth. Every moment of our lives we learn something new, whether positive or negative. My wish is to create a positive, comfortable, and knowledgeable working environment for my students so they can freely ask questions. A place where diversity is used as an education tool and creativity is given incentive to blossom. Where respect is mutual, self-esteem is high, and hard work is positively rewarded.

I received my Bachelor’s of Science Degree at the University of Rhode Island in Natural Resources with a minor in International Development. I then went on to receive my Master’s Degree in Biology. Currently, I am a certified teacher in the state of New York.

My love of educating other started with being an outdoor lab counsel and Hands-On Science teaching in high school. I expanded my passion for teaching as an undergraduate/graduate student while teaching Project Wild, Learning Landscape, S.M.I.L.E. and as a Teaching Assistant. I then spent many years working for non-profits teaching science and technology.

I enjoy exploring the outdoors with students through hikes, kayaking, rock climbing, and fishing. On hikes, we have explored the local plant ans animals and how they are all interrelated. I have also taught many classes on photography and graphic design.
