EDUCATIONAL PHILOSOPHY
I believe in breaking concepts down into short bullets, and then exploring each bullet. My philosophy is meant to be very simple and organized. I believe in speaking in a plain, down to earth manner, in such a way that the student feels relaxed enough to ask questions and allow the flow of learning and comprehension.
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND
I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Math, and am certified to teach grades 7-12. In 2011, I completed these 6 tech related courses: Microsoft PowerPoint in the Classroom, Microsoft Excel in the Classroom, Teaching Smarter with Smart Boards, Creating a Classroom Website, and Solving Classroom Discipline Problems I and II. In addition, I believe in staying current with technology in the classroom, especially since our students today are so evolved.
TEACHING EXPERIENCE
I have worked as a long term sub for precalculus and integrated math. I have been tutoring for over 10 years. Prior to that I was a substitute teacher for all grade levels and subjects.
EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
I sew, embroider and digitize for fun and also for profit. I am very skilled at taking a photograph and turning it into embroidery stitches. I also make and design quilted purses. I enjoys by little dogs as well.
