Ham Lake District and Curriculum

Ham Lake’s K-12 students are served by the Anoka-Hennepin School District. The district is the largest in the state, with nearly 40,000 students attending one of 24 elementary schools, six middle schools, and five high schools. Anoka-Hennepin Schools takes great pride in the educational opportunities it provides to students. Each school building represents a state-of-the art learning space that is both safe and inviting for students. Educating Our Parents: Understanding the Ham Lake District Curriculum

Elementary learners in Ham Lake are introduced to basic concepts in human interactions with earth systems as part of the science curriculum. The benefits and detriments of both energy sources are debated, with students also identifying the specific types of energies that are available in Minnesota.   • Champlin-Brooklyn Park Academy’s Kids Klub - Champlin-Brooklyn Park Academy’s Kids Klub pairs elementary students with mentors from Champlin Park High School. The students spend time together in activities that promote social, emotional, and academic development. Both mentor and mentee gain a lot of perspective from the experience, and older students are encouraged to volunteer for this program.
  • Anoka-Hennepin School District Talent Development Program - The Talent Development Program is a way to recognize the unique talents within students and ensure that the district is providing the support and rigor that each child needs. Students who have special talents in the arts, science, technology, and athletics are all eligible for these services.
