Chalk Talk: Scientific Method

Whether for a science class or science fair project, students will be more confident in completing it if they understand the steps in the scientific method. The first step that the student needs to consider is the problem that they would like to study. Then they need to break that down more by forming a hypothesis they can complete research for. Then come the time they gather material. This includes magazines, books, materials for the experiment or whatever else they may need. They need to create a procedure that they will be able to collect observations or data from. Finally, they need to come to a conclusion, including if the procedure answered their hypothesis and the steps they went through to complete this project. With these steps in mind, the student and the parents, can help to keep the project going in the correct direction.
