I am an enthusiastic and dedicated teaching professional who is committed to providing a supportive and engaging learning environment for all students. My creativity and flexibility as an educator ensures that every child’s learning needs are met. I believe in student-centred learning, and will focus on the development of critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

I attended the University of Guelph, where I obtained my Bachelor of Arts (honours) in History and English. In 2011, I attended the University of Queensland in Brisbane, Australia for teacher’s college, specializing in the middle years of schooling. Upon my return to Canada, I was certified to teach in Ontario and began tutoring, as well as working as a humane educator. I have since taken additional qualification courses in teaching primary/junior mathematics and special education.

I have both taught to students in a classroom and worked as a tutor with students in small groups as well as one-on-one.

I am an energetic, compassionate person with a strong desire to learn and teach. Outside of school, I try to stay active – I play and coach soccer, do yoga, and am training for a half-marathon. I love animals, and participate in training classes and pet therapy programs through my current role with the humane society.
