The ability to think analytically, interpret new information, distinguish fact from opinion, and solve complex problems are some of the essential questions and big picture outcomes of the curriculum plan.
In English/Language Arts, students start off with basic phonemic and language learning and move towards the ability to express themselves in different modes in writing. Students become able to read and write non-fiction and literature, and to listen to and speak about others’ ideas. Within the framework of math learning, the skills to solve algebraic, geometric and data problems are laid out for students. Each year provides grade-level skills for student mastery.
