My philosophy as an educator is best summed up with the words of Linda Albert: “Children may not always remember what we teach them, but they will never forget how we treat them.”

I have Bachelor’s Degree in Math and English from Trent University and a Bachelor of Education Degree from Queen’s University with Intermediate/Senior qualifications. I also have an Education Diploma in Counselling Psychology from the University of British Columbia with a specialization in Special Education.

I have 20 years of teaching experience ranging from high school calculus to Learning Assistance.

Activities I enjoy include swimming, cross country skiing, cycling, hiking, reading, and writing. Most often and preferably, these activities are done with my two daughters, ages 11 and 15. I also enjoy travel, and in the warmer weather that travel typically involves camping.
