EDUCATIONAL PHILOSOPHY
Learning happens in a number of different forms. I believe in a holistic view of learning which should include all of the different learning forms (visual, auditory, sensory, etc.) Additionally, I believe that learning takes place when students are generally interested in the material or when they’re inspired by their instructor/teacher to strive to become better.
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND
I graduated from Pennsylvania State University in 2002 with a degree in Communications. Later, I went back to school in the University of Pennsylvania for a Masters of Education in Teaching, Learning, and Curriculum, completing it in 2009.
TEACHING EXPERIENCE
Most of my teaching experience has been abroad in China and Korea. I’ve taught in college, elementary, middle and high school. I’ve also tutored all different age groups of students as well as trained professionals. Additionally, I’ve also created curriculum for schools.
EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
I am very involved in serving at my local church as well as playing on a number of sports teams. Additionally, I like to engage in outdoor activities like hiking, camping and fishing.
