Education is the equalizing force in society; it is a requirement for democracy. Educators have the responsibility to ensure that every student learns and feels safe physically, emotionally, and intellectually.

I received my Bachelor’s Degree in English from University of Alabama with minors in Political Science and Spanish. I am also a certified teacher in the state of Georgia.

As a professional educator, I hold certifications to teach grades Preschool through Twelfth grade. I have instructed and tutored in several different settings with various age groups. I design my lesson units and projects based upon performance standards while utilizing various media and technology.

I enjoy performing and listening to music, writing, and the creative arts. I enjoy watching sports such as football, soccer, and baseball. As a high school teacher, I was a volleyball coach.
