EDUCATIONAL PHILOSOPHY
I believe that education should be tailored to individual student needs and comfort levels. Caring and communication are vital in assisting my students to be successful. I want my students to know that I value every second that I have with them. Imparting knowledge is only a small part of my job. My focus is on all aspects of well-being for my students.
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND
I completed my Bachelor’s of Arts Education Degree in Secondary English in 2003. I also meet the requirements for a Bachelor’s Degree in Literary Studies. In 2013 I obtained the endorsement for Elementary Education. I am currently a certified teacher in the state of Washington.
TEACHING EXPERIENCE
I worked as a Resource Room paraeducator for six years. During this time, I worked with students individually and in small group settings. I assisted students who struggled with reading, writing, and math. It is truly my passion to help students succeed in any way that I can.
EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
I have worked as a volunteer dance instructor at various community centers in the Spokane area. I had the opportunity to work with and come to better understand many different types of diversity during this time.
