I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education with a minor in English from Texas Tech University. I also have an ESL Certification and am licensed to teach in Texas.

I have 3 years experience teaching 1st and 2nd grade in an ESL classroom. I also have 5 years experience as a music teacher. I also have another 5 years of experience teaching writing to high school students in various settings.

I’ve taught songwriting at Interlochen Arts Camp to high school students as well as in several other writing programs and camps. I’ve traveled the country for 12 years as a performing singer-songwriter. Writing songs and performing them in various venues and festivals around the country. I’m privileged to have won several national songwriting competitions.
