I believe that every child is unique and has greatness waiting to be unlocked inside of them. We as educators cannot use a cookie cutter method on our students, but rather must use our knowledge and skills to find find ways to relate to them and show them that they are important and no matter what is holding them back, together we WILL overcome it.

I have been a homeschool mother to three children for seven years. My youngest child has a rare illness that causes significant developmental issues and she became my driven force behind my decision to study education and to chose my minor in special education.

Teaching homeschool to varying ages and dealing with developmental issues at the same time all while earning a Bachelors degree and working on a Masters degree is a great deal of valuable experience. To add to this experience I have also been a Cub Scout leader for five years, where I have taught 7-10 year olds, and I am responsible for the planning of the lesson, the teaching and bi-monthly field trips.

I have been a member of Christ Alive Church since 2000 and have been involved with many different ministries there. I have participated in the food pantry, Random Acts of Kindness, Children’s Church, Youth and prison ministry.
