EDUCATIONAL PHILOSOPHY
I believe in a student-centered approach to teaching, with emphasis on meeting my students where they are. I plan and adapt my lessons according to student’s IEPs’,learning styles and interests and pace my instruction accordingly while always striving to make learning fun!
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND
I received my Bachelor’s Degree at Roanoke College in Psychology and then went on to Mary Baldwin College to receive my Master’s Degree in Teaching. I am a certified teaching in the state of Pennsylvania.
My educational background comprises 15 years of teaching children with learning differences in Special Education, in both public and private sectors, primarily targeting the remediation of literacy and math skills.

EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
I spend my leisure time walking, doing yoga, reading, mountain biking and hanging with friends; traveling to see family on the East coast. I love exploring small towns, antiquing and going on adventures.
