I believe that teachers should be facilitators who help students unlock their true potential. I believe that every student can learn when taught in a way that works for him or her.

I hold a Master’s Degree in English from the University of Louisville, a Bachelor’s Degree in Literature with a concentration in teacher education from The American University, and participate in ongoing learning opportunities. I took two postgraduate courses at the University of Louisville in 2012.

I have taught at the college level for over eleven years and also have experience at the elementary and middle school levels. Other than taking a few years off as a stay-at-home mom, I have been teaching since 1990. I currently teach full-time at ITT Tech.

I sponsor the National Technical Honor Society at ITT Technical Institute. This is a student organization that rewards students for excellence and also participates in charitable activities. ITT students helped raise over $14,000 for a little girl who has cancer.
