About Me
SUBJECTS
EDUCATIONAL PHILOSOPHY
I strongly believe that children learn best when their learning is relevant and meaningful to their own experience. I make a point to highlight where certain skills can be used in everyday life, in order to facilitate students making connections from the subject matter to themselves.
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND
I attended University of Toronto, where I majored in Sociology and minored in English and Philosophy. I then went on to obtain my Bachelor of Education.
TEACHING EXPERIENCE
The majority of my teaching experience has been acquired in London’s multicultural and multilingual schools as daily supply, as well as long-term substitute. I have taught across the grades and I am comfortable teaching all years.
EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
At my current school, I led a small group Guitar Club, as well as Year 2 SAT Boosters group once a week. In the past, I have assisted with Homework Club, Art Club, and organized a Reading Club.
