Education should have two specific goals: 1.Education must prepare the student for his/her stated career in very practical and concrete terms and 2. Education must prepare the student to become a life-long learner – and to love it.

I graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in English from Carleton University, Ottawa. I followed this with a Teacher’s Diploma and a Master’s Degree in Educational Administration from McGill University. I finally received my Ph.D. in Educational Administration. from the University of Toronto. I am also a certified teacher in Ontario.

I’m an international teacher, with classroom experience in Africa, the Middle East, China, India, the Caribbean, and North America (Canada and the USA). I have taught students in various subject areas, including reading, writing, language arts, ESL, etc.

I write fiction (short stories and novel-length). At present I have published one novel (Nothing But Ashes) and one short story (Rosalie). In addition I had one article published in the Teachers’ Journal (A Day in the life of a Substitute, er Supply Teacher).
