Learning is a positive experience. If content is presented in a way that is interesting and creative, students will be engaged. With this open and willing attitude, the student and teacher can find the best way to conquer challenging material.

I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology before going on to attain my Master’s Degree in Childhood Education. I am now a certified teacher in the state of New York.

I have taught in private and public schools in elementary grades for over 7 years and for a tutoring agency. My best and most useful experience has been homeschooling my four children grades K-6 in all subjects.

I love hoop dancing. That is, dancing and doing tricks with hula hoops! It may sound silly, but it is wonderful for fitness and for an afternoon energy boost.
