EDUCATIONAL PHILOSOPHY
All students have the capability to learn. As a teacher, I must determine how each student learns best and give each student the resources he/ she needs to be successful. I am passionate about helping students discover what they are good at and building their confidence levels.
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND
I have a Bachelor’s Degree in accounting from the University of Southern Mississippi. I completed the alternate route for teaching and earned my Master’s Degree in Education. I then successfully completed the rigorous process to become a National Board Certified teacher.
TEACHING EXPERIENCE
I have taught math to grades 5-12 for the last seven years. I teach all of the basic math courses for 5-8. For grades 9-12, I teach Trans-Algebra, Algebra 1, Algebra 2, and Geometry. I am well versed in the new common core curriculum as well.
EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
I tutor math in my home on the side. I am a mother of six, so I am very active in my children’s lives. I enjoy supporting school athletic events. I attend church every Sunday.
STANDARDIZED TEST RESULTS
I received a composite score of 28 on my ACT exam.
