EDUCATIONAL PHILOSOPHY
As the teacher, it is my responsibility to make accommodations in instructional practices in order to reach every individual. It is important that every student feels that they are important and has something to offer. I want the student to feel comfortable asking questions in order to better understand what is being taught.
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND
I attended San Diego State University, where I majored in psychology. I later changed my major to Elementary Education with an emphasis in English. I then went back to school to complete my Administrative Credential at California State University.
TEACHING EXPERIENCE
I began my educational career as a substitute teacher. I then taught kindergarten, first and fifth grades. After that, I taught English and Gifted and Talented Education for grades six to eight. Subsequent to that, I taught English for students in grades 9 to 12 and English at the junior college level.
EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
I enjoy sports and attending school sports games. I also enjoy activities with my church, as well as reading and gardening.
